Tron (TRX) has partnered with blockchain sports platform vSport today ahead of the upcoming Football World Cup in Russia. Apple stocks app has also included the TRX-USD pairing to its portfolio putting more attention on the gaming cryptocurrency.

Founder Justin Sun said on Twitter: "Very excited for the
#TRON + vSport partnership, a powerful alliance to leverage blockchain technology for solving issues in the soccer & sports industry. Sports fans: Get ready for a major user experience reboot!"
Dutch footballer, Wesley Sneijder posted on Twitter that he was looking forward to the partnership. vSport announced that it will enable them to co-develop the first World Cup prediction platform using blockchain technology. This was described as a sports value assessment algorithm and a transaction platform.
vSport is aiming to build a sports ecosystem by teaming up with companies developing wearable technology, payment systems and national team nutritionists. They have 30 million fans around the world and are based mainly in China.
vSport co-founder Qiang Bai said: "Collaborating with TRON allows us to join forces with another strong company, leveraging our soccer and sports resources to solve difficult soccer and sports industry-related issues. We will work together to build and nurture a healthy soccer and sports ecosystem."
The Apple stocks app, which already lists BTC, XRP and QTUM has added support for Tronix [TRX]. Users will need to add the pairing to the app for it to appear. Recently, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak hailed cryptocurrency as the next 'IT revolution'.
Tron is currently an Ethereum based, ERC20 token and its mainnet is scheduled for May 31. Tron is currently the 9th highest cryptocurrency by market cap with a size of $4.1 billion. Ahead of the mainnet launch, Justin Sun announced an airdrop for users joining the official telegram group.
